Dr. Valerie Homier practices Emergency Medicine at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) in Montreal, Canada. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at McGill University. Dr. Homier completed the European Masters of Disaster Medicine program in 2018. She frequently serves as advisor and Emergency Preparedness expert on different projects at regional and provincial levels. She was appointed Co-Medical Director of Emergency Measures at the MUHC in 2017. Her research interests include patient decontamination, hospital IT security, patient tracking, and the use of drones in medicine. Dr. Homier is deeply involved in Emergency Preparedness training & education through the organization of specialized conferences and simulations.
